Back in the Swing of Things

I'd love to get back in the habit of recording my thoughts and feelings on a regular basis. So, here's to a fresh start!

School starts on Monday.  I'm thrilled. I think Gabby does better with routine and school stretches her mind.  I love to see how excited she is when she learns something new.  Also, it provides a great socialization opportunity.  She has a brand new teacher this year, as in, fresh out of school and new to the school district-- this is a first for us.  Generally, she gets seasoned teachers and I think that gives them the upper hand.  Her teacher may be in for an adventure.  Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope not!

Jack is thriving at daycare.  We're very pleased.  He has no interest in potty training (the next big thing!) but maybe the excitement of sending Gabby off to school will change that.  I've already promised him that if he potty trains, he can go to preschool.  We'll see.

Felipe has a newer job-- started this spring.  He's still loving it.  Let's hope that continues.

I am working on projects-- it keeps me busy.  I'm working on freshening up the spaces in our home-- a hutch redesign is in the near future and I'm working on adopting two guinea pigs.  I've already purchased fleece for their new home and will be building the cage myself.  Book reading and geocaching just weren't stimulating enough for me.

Wish us luck!  The return of autumn holds a wealth of possibility for adventures and learning experiences.
